Just had a quick look at www.lulu.com and www.blurb.co.uk - wow, how exciting, to be able to get your books professionally printed in bulk and at a reasonable cost too. I will now have to look into how to sell the books...

Blurb and Lulu

Blurb and Lulu are online printing services for self-publishing. They are reasonably priced, offer  print on demand and dispatch services, bulk printing and bespoke format printing. You can upload your files in PDF or just about any other format and there is a downloadable plug-in for Adobe InDesign. It is so easy!

I think I will have to look into the pros and cons of self-publishing versus a traditional publisher. And as I will still have access to the facilities at college, the cost and time involved in self-production. There is also a local printing company I have used for business in the past, who were extremely competitive, and certainly worth obtaining a quote from.
