Branding

Branding

Many years ago, I had a restaurant, bar, gallery and music venue in Cheltenham. I learnt so much from this fantastic and busy existence and have brought all these lessons with me to asset with the running of this new business venture, my illustrations.

I am fortunate to have confidence when it comes to selling something I believe in, and I also consider myself fortunate to have confidence in the quality and originality of my illustration work, therefore I am excited and confident about the prospect of selling my skills to other people and will keep going until I do. If there is something I am conscious of, there are a vast number of publishers, creative directors and art directors out there, all around the world and there will certainly be someone who wants to publish my work, and I have no concerns about finding them. I will keep going and keep trying new things until I find the ones that do, or they find me. And what and interesting a fun journey its bound to be!

I am aware that any company which wants and needs recognition to succeed requires a strong brand. It has to be you. I think that nothing says this better than a logo, it can be complex or extremely simple, you can even evolve it over time as you and business grows.

Wings, feathers and cogs feature in a lot of my illustrations, they certainly reflect on things in my life and therefore I used these symbols for my logo...for now, who knows these may fly away and leave a space for something new in the future.
