Prior
to presentation day:
- You will have
identified your own personal promotional strategy in terms
of current peer group or industry standards and targeted actual or
potential applications.
- You will have
compiled an exhaustive blog detailing how you have actively sought out and
approached potential clients; How you have presented and promoted your work
to a range of potential audiences and clients; List of companies,
professional contacts, which you evaluate as relevant and useful to your
future work, using information gathered from public and including possible
client reaction (e.g. email conversations) An evaluation of your work in
terms of its commercial application, audience, and potential uses and
development. Structured plan for the development of your work and
professional next step.
- You will have planned
and produced at least 3 promotional materials, events or products
- You will have
established a web presence that acts effectively as an online
portfolio and contact portal, which is outward-facing, easy to search
for and is distinct from your coursework blogs/websites.
- You will have
prepared a portfolio, which will be appropriate to your practice
and of professional standard with high quality images. Digital portfolios are appropriate to
digital applications, but printed images should also be available.
- You may have
organised appropriate events such as exhibitions, collaborative projects,
groups, collectives or special events that are appropriate to your
identified promotional strategy.
At
presentation you will:
Present
a complete and appropriate promotional strategy that matches the industry expectations
of your projected Illustration aims, this must include either:
a. Physical portfolio or
Digital portfolio (Only suitable for
digital artists, Must be “browsable”)
b.
3 promotional materials, events or products
Originality and innovation should be
married with appropriateness and high quality production.
c. Web presence (NOT your normal
coursework blog)
Your
